PEGA D&E (www.pegadesign.com) is a product design consultancy and a subsidiary of Pegatron, the recently spun-off ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) arm of Asus Computer, one of the world's leading technology companies.

PEGA D&E is based in Taipei and Shanghai and succeeds the Asus product design department (www.asusdesign.com) which was founded in 1998 and has gradually gained international recognition after winning numerous design awards in recent years.

With Pegatron being our major client, our focus lies in delivering top-notch product solutions for a wide array of international clients in the IT industry. Additionally, PEGA D&E is providing related design services, such as Branding and Visual Communications, Usability and User Research, Color and Material Studies and is also working on the creation of non-IT products and advanced design studies.

PEGA D&E is looking for researcher with 1+ years of experience that will work on the development of products in an exciting and fast-paced Asian environment from early briefing over research and sketching up to mass-manufacturing guidance.

Ideal candidates will have a diverse portfolio, are self-managed and highly motivated team-workers and have proficiency in office programs; knowing 2D/3D graphic programs are a plus. A general knowledge of an understanding of the consumer market and ability to present your ideas are required, as well as an open-mindedness in terms of embracing a new culture both at work and off.

Specific Skills

Bachelor's degree in industrial design, human-computer interaction, architecture, psychology, Anthropology or related discipline with a solid foundation in research-based design
Work experience in relative industry for 1-2 year
In-depth knowledge of human-centered design principles and techniques
Expertise conducting ethnographic research, interviewing, participatory design, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, benchmark testing, competitive evaluations and questionnaire/survey design.
Self-motivated, team worker as well as individual worker
Good English and Chinese communication skills both in written and oral
Be open minded, willing to learn and explore Chinese and Asian culture.
