JOB MISSION

To develop and oversee the visual branding of all Stella & Dot channels, including our website, printed catalog, marketing collateral, video, training materials and packaging. The successful candidate will provide a holistic vision for Stella & Dot’s branding, bringing a consistent, irresistible look and feel to Stella & Dot across all platforms with the creative ability to transform fresh ideas into actionable concepts. This person is a seasoned designer who works collaboratively, and thinks conceptually and strategically about design. You will wear many hats and have senior designer level responsibilities as well as managing the design team.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Sets and directs the visual direction for the Stella & Dot brand across all platforms.
•Develops style guidelines to ensure that designs and artwork meet established standards when working with photographers, designers, and internal design team.
•Working with our internal design team, designs and manages catalog development, including art direction of photo shoots, development of design concepts through execution of catalog, and project management of design process.
•Translates wireframes for web design into first-class user experience designs.
•Provides hands-on design of email campaigns, web design, bi-annual catalog, marketing collateral and packaging.
•Creates media and advertising designs for print and online materials.
•Works on multiple projects simultaneously.
•Develops and maintains design schedule across all mediums, manages product workflow.
•Manages design team.
•Detail oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once.

COMPENSATION

Based on experience. Competitive base salary plus performance based opportunity for profit sharing.
Specific Skills

Specifically, you must have:
•10+ years of proven success as an art/creative director, with at least 3 years of agency experience.
•B.S. / B.A.
•Strong, proven leadership skills.Energetic and infectious leadership in a fast paced environment.
•Print production experience on consumer catalogs and other marketing collateral.
•Experience managing model and product photo shoots on tight deadlines.
•Web-design experience with an understanding of HTML/CSS/Flash.
•Great communication skills. Enjoys collaboration and teamwork
•Engages in all content, and is able to present design vision and philosophy.
•Superior in typography and design sense.
•Ability to think clearly and contribute to editorial discussions and strategy during the entire design process, from concept through completion.
•Fluent working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
